(WHDH) — A New Hampshire-based nonprofit is providing food, supplies, and other relief to orphanages and safe houses in war-torn Ukraine.Common Man for Ukraine is in Kyiv making their seventh humanitarian aid trip to support children impacted by the conflict with Russia.“We all have to make use of the one life we have to live, ” said Common Man for Ukraine co-founder Susan Mathison. “Yes it’s risky to be here in Kyiv… you know there’s active bombings and air sirens and air alerts but we know these children need us and we’re committed as long as they need us.”Tyngsboro police issue warning about pair committing jewelry thefts

Tyngsboro police are sounding the alarm about a pair of jewelry thieves who have been robbing victims in the area.The man and woman are known to travel in a team and call victims, often the elderly, over to their car to speak with them “in a friendly and engaging manner” before offering and placing fake jewelry on the victims and then trying to steal the victim’s real jewelry before driving away, Tyngsboro police warn.The crime occurred Monday and similar incidents have been reported in nearby communities.“Do not approach them or their vehicle and do not engage in conversation with them, even if they seem friendly. Authorities in the Gaza Strip say the Rafah land crossing between the war-torn territory and Egypt will reopen on Sunday after being closed for the two previous days. The announcement was shared on a Facebook page on which the General Authority for Crossings and Borders posts a daily list of foreigners cleared to make the journey. That list had not been updated as of Saturday night, but Global Affairs Canada previously confirmed that 266 Canadian citizens, permanent residents and their families had been cleared to cross the border as of Friday. Several people have been taken to hospital with critical injuries following a 2-alarm apartment fire in North York.Firefighters were called to a building in the area of Wilson Avenue and Murray Road, west of Keele Street just before 9 p.m. Saturday.Police say the building has been evacuated and that two children were transported to hospital with unknown injuries.Paramedics tell CityNews three people were taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. SAN DIEGO (AP) — Megan Rapinoe of the OL Reign suffered a non-contact injury to her right leg early in the NWSL championship match Saturday night and needed assistance as she hobbled off the field in the last match of her storied career.Rapinoe broke toward Maitane Lopez of Gotham FC, who was dribbling outside the penalty area, and suddenly went down.
